HOUSE OF THE MONTH – the Hood House
Unser Sommerfest
On August 31st, our team was ready to leave the daily grind behind and embark on an adventure! 🎉
First, we boarded the Cap San Diego, where we not only explored the museum but also bravely tried our hand at an escape room on the ship. Afterwards, we rounded off the day with a cozy and delicious meal together at Luigi's in the Portuguese Quarter. A thoroughly enjoyable summer evening with a great atmosphere, team spirit, and lots of fun! 🌊🍝

New wines in the Marketplace
Frischer Nachschub für alle Weinliebhaber:innen: Ab sofort gibt es bei uns neue Weine vom Weingut Maier aus Schwaikheim. Besonders ans Herz legen möchten wir euch den Muskat-Trollinger Rosé: fruchtig, leicht und ein echtes Highlight für alle, die Rosé lieben.
Our tip: It tastes especially refreshing on ice on warm days: perfect for a relaxed end to the evening. Feel free to visit our Marketplace and discover the new wines!
The Hood House as a lifestyle brand
The Hood House is gradually evolving into a true lifestyle brand, and the first changes are already visible. In our apartments, you'll now find Winterhuder beer, Fritz Kola, and water in all refrigerators, along with matching stylish Fritz Kola glasses. We're also adding new touches to the bathrooms with high-quality care products from Typology.
But that's just the beginning: We have other exciting ideas in the pipeline, such as Hood House merchandise, bathrobes with a logo and slogan on the back, and slippers in select categories. A customized fragrance concept and even a perfume vending machine are also on our list of ideas.
We're continuing to make our house even more special with little details and look forward to showing you more surprises soon.

New sofas in our SpaceHOODs
Good news from SpaceHOOD: The first new sofa beds have arrived and are already in use! This means our guests no longer have to sleep on the floor, but can make themselves truly comfortable.
The team joined forces to replace, assemble, and re-bed eight sofas – just in time for the first guests to test out the new sleeping spaces. A small but significant upgrade that further enhances our comfort.

Im Hood House haben wir ein neues Ritual eingeführt: Alle acht Wochen findet bei uns ein Meet & Eat statt: Ein Format, das wir bereits aus der SICON kennen und sehr schätzen.
This time, our dear colleague Naim was at the stove and treated us to a very special dish: Kabuli Palaw (a traditional Afghan rice dish with tender lamb, carrots, and onions). The result? A great atmosphere, full plates, and happy faces all around.
Such moments show us once again how wonderful it is to eat together, to have conversations and to stay connected beyond the daily work routine.

A lot has been happening at Hood House in recent months. Especially in front of the camera! From staff photoshoots to a professional video project with an external agency to creative portrait sessions with unusual and dramatic poses, there really was everything.

Bye bye Larissa and Maik
This month, we at Kühnehöfe had to say goodbye twice: Both Larissa and Maik ended their time at SICON.
We're deeply saddened to see two valued team members leave, but we thank them both from the bottom of our hearts for their commitment, energy, and the time we spent together. In their final days, we took the opportunity to raise a toast together and bid them a fitting farewell.
We wish you all the best and much success in your next steps! 💐✨

NEWS FROM OPERATIONS
🚧?What's going on in St. Georg
St. Georg is in a state of flux – our construction site is currently running at full speed! All trades are working hand in hand to ensure that our new HUB Apartments St. Georg can soon open its doors.
An important milestone has been reached: From the Nespresso machine to the hairdryer to cozy bedding – the OS&E has been ordered and delivery dates are being coordinated. At the same time, we are planning the installation of the furnishings, with our opening team providing active support.
The sleepover will be held soon. This allows us to test all processes in the building from start to finish – from check-in to the technology and the comfort of the apartment. This way, we ensure that everything runs smoothly for the opening and that our first guests feel completely at home.
The countdown has begun – we're really looking forward to the next steps and will keep you updated!

And in St. Georg, the Smart category is becoming the new City HUB. 🚀

The HUB Apartments St. Georg is ready to go
Before the HUB St. Georg welcomes its first guests, we still have a lot on the table, in all its facets.
We're currently developing the appropriate content for our website, social media, and other services, so that the HUB radiates authenticity and visibility from the very beginning. At the same time, we're taking care of the visual details within the building itself, such as the wall decals that define the look and feel of the HUB and make it a truly welcoming place. We're also working hard behind the scenes: We're currently integrating the HUB into all our systems, from our chatbot system DialogShift to Google, to ensure everything works seamlessly together.
In short: It's an exciting mix of creativity, strategy, and organization. We're juggling many balls at once, but that's precisely what makes the work so exciting. 💡🎉 The HUB St. Georg is taking shape step by step, and we can hardly wait to put our marketing power into the finished building soon.
